The European digital agency +Pluswerk has won the TYPO3 Award in the 'Health' category at the TYPO3 Conference 2024 in Düsseldorf.
The award went to the relaunch of the website of the Helmholtz Center for Infection Research (HZI). The new website makes the complex world of infection research tangible and understandable for the general public.
TYPO3 Award & Gala
The TYPO3 Awards ceremony took place on November 28, 2024 at the Areal Böhler in Düsseldorf. The award honors outstanding digital projects that have been realized on the basis of the TYPO3 content management system. Every year, the best websites and applications that impress with technological innovation, outstanding design and high user-friendliness are honored in various categories. In 2024, 138 projects from 59 agencies were submitted to compete against each other.
The winners of the TYPO3 Award are selected by a jury of digital industry experts in an extensive evaluation process. The jury members bring in-depth knowledge from the fields of business, marketing and technology to ensure an objective assessment. In addition to technical aspects, the jury also takes the "human factor" into account, so that the winners impress with their creativity and overall excellence.
Infection research made simple
The Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI) is a leading German research institution dedicated to the fight against infectious diseases. At the beginning of 2024, the HZI website was given a comprehensive relaunch with the support of the TYPO3 experts from +Pluswerk. The aim was to make the HZI's complex research more accessible and easier to understand for the public.
The new website impresses with its clear structure and intuitive navigation, which makes it easier to explore the content. Visual elements such as high-resolution images and videos encourage interaction and enhance the user experience - even on mobile devices. Thanks to responsive design and accessibility, the site conveys the importance of infection research in an informative and appealing way.
Tip: The Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research has published its own report on the joint project and the TYPO3 Award.
