Under the Spanish sun
The CMS Camp Mallorca 2024 took place in sunny Palma de Mallorca from September 27 to 29. With a unique mix of barcamp sessions, masterclasses and networking, the event offered space for intensive discussions and valuable insights into the future of content management systems (CMS).
The +Pluswerk was a sponsor and organizing partner of the event together with our friends from PIMCORE. It was really fantastic to connect with so many like-minded "CMS maniacs" and we're sure they had at least as much fun as we did!
Chillzone from +Pluswerk and Pimcore
Upon arrival, the chill zone of +Pluswerk and Pimcore was already appreciated as a relaxed meeting place for networking. The venue and the relaxed atmosphere made it easy for participants to get talking, regardless of their level of knowledge of CMS technologies. This laid the foundation for an open exchange, as one participant emphasized in her contribution: "The setup counts - an inviting yet relaxed atmosphere helps everyone to feel comfortable".
Masterclasses and barcamp sessions
Friday was initially dominated by an inspiring keynote speech by Janus Boye and the CMS Experts Peer Group on current developments in the field of CMS. Exciting discussions about the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and the advantages and disadvantages of headless and hybrid headless approaches took center stage. Pimcore experts such as Thalena Rumi and Patrick Redtenbacher provided in-depth insights into Pimcore technology. The actual Barcamp then started on Saturday and Sunday, with the participants shaping both the agenda and the individual sessions.
Use cases and evening events
In addition to theoretical content, the CMS Camp was also a platform for practical topics: From the "push model" in digital experience management to AI integration, the sessions offered new perspectives on existing technologies and their further development. In particular, the presentation of the "Digital Experience Mesh" and the RE.A.L. session on optimizing customer relationships met with a positive response from the participants. Janus Boye and Volker Graubaum led the discussions, which were often accompanied by specific case studies and use cases.
The evenings of the individual days offered a variety of opportunities for further networking at social events and joint dinners. The evening event on Saturday in particular created an exuberant atmosphere and was a highlight of the weekend. Event partners such as PIMCORE and Hygraph not only provided exciting topics in the evening, but also small treats such as the ice cream stands, which were humorously described by one participant as "icebreakers".
A successful event with a future
CMS Camp Mallorca 2024 was a complete success for +Pluswerk and the other partners. The mix of formal and informal formats, the opportunity to discuss industry-specific challenges and the relaxed atmosphere make the CMS Camp a valuable event for the community. Looking ahead to next year, we can't wait to see what other innovations and discussions await us in Mallorca.
